What you need
- An iPhone or iPad running iOS 26 or later.
- An iCloud account, signed in on the device, to sync between your devices and share campaigns with a team. Without iCloud, signs are saved on that device only.
- Location access set to “While Using the App” so the app can record where signs are placed.
Getting started
- Add your name. Open Settings → Account and tap Edit. Your name appears on the signs you deploy so your team's reports show who placed them.
- Create a campaign. Tap + on the map's campaign bar. In Campaign Settings, choose the state, race type, and district, and enter the election date so countdowns and projections are accurate.
- Place a sign. Standing at the spot, tap the add button to drop a pin at your location, then add a photo, size, and mounting type. To plan ahead, long-press anywhere on the map instead.
- Bring in your team. In Campaign Settings or on the Campaigns screen, open Join Link / QR Code. Teammates scan the code with their iPhone camera or tap the link to join.
Common questions
The map doesn't show my location
Open the Settings app, tap Privacy & Security, then Location Services, then StakeRight, and choose While Using the App. Turn on Precise Location for accurate sign placement. If you're indoors, step outside for a stronger GPS signal.
The camera or photo library won't open
Open the Settings app, tap Apps, then StakeRight, and allow Camera and Photos access.
My teammate's signs aren't showing up
Check that both of you are signed in to iCloud and connected to the internet. Changes usually arrive within a minute. If they don't, open the Campaigns screen and confirm the campaign shows “Shared” or “Joined”. Signs placed without a connection sync automatically once the phone is back online.
The join link or QR code doesn't open StakeRight
The person joining needs StakeRight installed and must be signed in to iCloud. Install the app first, then tap the link or scan the code again. If the campaign owner turned off the join link, ask them to turn it back on or send a new invite.
An emailed invite says I don't have access
Email invites work only for the email address tied to the invitee's Apple Account. Ask the campaign owner to send the join link or QR code instead. Those work for anyone they're shared with.
District lines don't appear, or they're for the wrong state
Open Campaign Settings and check the state, race type, and district. After changing them, switch to another campaign and back, or turn the map layer off and on, to reload the lines. Boundary data needs an internet connection the first time it loads.
Why don't some signs show impressions?
Impression estimates use public road traffic counts from the Idaho Transportation Department, so they're currently available for signs in Idaho near roads with published counts. Other signs show a dash. All impression figures are estimates, not guaranteed views.
My reports say “Unattributed” for some signs
Signs are credited to the name in Settings → Account on the phone that deployed them. Signs placed before a name was set, or on a phone without one, show as Unattributed. Have each teammate add their name so new signs are credited.
How do I print sign cards or a pickup route?
Go to Reports → Sign Cards and tap the printer button. Choose which signs to include and an order. Pickup route orders group stops by city, precinct, district, or county and add a route sheet. Tap Print, then use Share → Print in the viewer. Cards print four to a page, and each card's QR code opens the stop in Maps.
How do I record signs we picked up after the election?
After the election date passes, tap a deployed sign on the map and choose Pick Up. Record the sign's condition and the post or stake's condition. To fix a mistake, open Supplies → Pickup Log and tap the entry.
How do I delete my data?
Delete signs or campaigns in the app, or delete the app to remove its data from your device. To remove the iCloud copy, open the Settings app, tap your name, then iCloud, then Storage, then StakeRight. See the Privacy Policy for details.
